Joining a social fraternity can be one of the most-fulling experiences of your college career. Networking and social life are two reasons which most students use to make the decision to go Greek. With Brooklyn College's committed support of the Greek community and Greek population of 45% of the student body, it is a very smart choice.

The Brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu's Mu Upsilon Chapter share one common goal: to make better men. Fraternalism, enthusiasm, energy, and dedication rank high among the ideals that we instill in our Brothers. However, internal involvement alone is not enough. We strive to impact the Brooklyn College community in a positive way, as individuals and through our collective leadership and involvement as a group. We believe that true leadership relies on individual initiative and collective action, and we encourage every Brother to take an active role in both the Greek and the Brooklyn College community.

Of course, while GPAs and lists of extracurricular activities may look impressive on paper, they do not define our ultimate goal. Sigma Alpha Mu builds new friendships and strengthens existing ones. While our peers may stress grades and MCAT, LSAT and GRE scores, we promote Brotherhood, Honor, and mutual support. The lessons that we have learned as Brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu will last a lifetime. The opportunities - social, athletic, and otherwise - that await our prospective Brothers can not be expressed in these few sentences.

Friendships forged in our close Brotherhood empower our Fraternity. We seek out challenges and experiences that allow us to define who we are. Sigma Alpha Mu is not a four-year Fraternity - it is a lifetime Brotherhood.
